Deeemd as Singapore’s largest integrated community and lifestyle center, a whole 5.7 hectares – the size of seven football fields – Our Tampines Hub is finally open, with all facilities open to the general public. These include a FIFA 2-Star football pitch, indoor sports hall, Singapore’s largest rooftop public pool, kiddy water play area, a massive inclusive playground, the new Tampines Regional Library and of course, the Hawker Center!
A 5,000 seat stadium, it will host football matches, community-related events and festive celebrations.
The hub boasts of varied pools to cater to different groups of people. It includes a kids' wading pool that's perfect for building up water confidence. There's also a Jacuzzi Pool where you can get a full-on massage from the slew of bubbles down your back. For the serious swimmers, there's a lap pool for coaches to teach both kids and adults. Last but not least, the Olympic-sized competition pool with a lifeguard on duty.
No doubt one of the main attractions of the hub, the kiddy water playground is huge, with different play areas. The main highlight for steady tots is the slides. For those who aren't that confident yet, there's an area just for them, with colorful pods and flower pot structures. The misting spouts and water guns are also favs.
At the basement of the hub is Festive Play, an indoor playground for little tikes aged 2 to 6 years. The soft-padded play area is surrounded by a multi-colored perimeter fence. Moms and Dads can chill out at the rest area while still keeping an eye on their kids.
A sports and recreation park with 4 tennis courts, 2 futsal courts and a hockey court is set to open between end-September and early October.
