Located right at the fringe of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve is Chestnut Nature Park, the first nature park in Singapore to have dedicated mountain biking and hiking trails! The 81-hectare park is deemed as Singapore’s largest nature park to date. The 2.1km long Southern Hiking Trail is a looped trail with hilly terrain and is a ‘rocky’ trail as you’ll come across several granite boulders and hills along the way. The Northern Hiking Trail consists of two routes—a shorter, looped trail and a trail that spans across half the park. Check out the Chestnut Tower observation deck that promises panoramic views from up above!
For biking enthusiasts, Chestnut Nature Park is a haven with its dedicated mountain biking trails and asphalt pump track. The trails cover a range of difficulty levels so do exercise caution and pick the one that’s suitable for you. Make sure you have your own safety equipment and helmet. The pump track complements the 7.2km mountain biking trails: Northern Biking Trail and Southern Biking Trail.
Great for hikers and bikers alike - and all within the same massive park area!
Pretty much everyone - from those wanting to hike a hilly terrain to bikers looking for some adrenaline-pumping action.
Beginner riders can check out the TenderFoot trail, and novice bikers can venture to the Grasshopper and Slider trails. For experienced bikers, the Chestnut Bike Park is great for advancing skills for drops and jumps.
