Visiting Family-Friendly Singapore National Stadium At Sports Hub

Opened recently in June, the 55,000-seater National Stadium has a retractable seating configuration making it the only stadium in the world equipped to host football, athletics, rugby and cricket events, as well as concerts all in one place.
Costing $1.33 billion, the hub uses energy efficient technology – a cooling system that keeps spectators comfortable in the Singapore heat with no impact on the environment. How cool! The Sports Hub also boasts an indoor aquatic centre, a multi-purpose indoor arena, a sports promenade with playground for toddlers and skate park, and a “playground” for water-sport enthusiast along the 35-hectare Kallang Basin for dragon boat, canoe and more!
Look out for upcoming events and concerts such as Mariah Carey’s concert on October 24 and One Direction in March 2015 (if you’re lucky enough to score tickets!)
