Good news families, Science Centre Singapore will open the first kids’ science centre on Friday, June 6, 2014! Kids’ STOP will allow kids from 18 months to 8 years to explore science through play in a safe and guided environment.
Check out the 17 fabulous fun zones centered around four themes (Imagine, Experience, Discover, Dream) at Kids STOP:
1. Imagine uses the innovative role play concept and gets children to practice their creative and communication skills at specially designed but familiar places such as a movie theater or supermarket.
2. Experience will encourage kids to appreciate art and nature through interactions with live animals, stop motion animation, and more.
3. Discover introduces children to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) principles. They’ll love the interactive displays on magnetism, light and sound!
4. Dream will feature a 9-meter high climbing structure surrounded by fantastic climbing elements, including leaves, a flying fish, giant gears and more that will form a colourful kaleidoscope. Wow!
