Most of us are familiar with the Botanic Gardens as a perfect picnic spot and where unique flora and fauna call home. But now, there’s even more reason to pay the heritage landmark a visit together with the family!
Recently opened as part of the Gallop Extension of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, the Forest Discovery Centre @ OCBC Arboretum is a gallery space to find out more about the forest eco-system, all within the walls of a colonial bungalow.
There are interactive displays and videos to check out, which are suitable for both kids and adults to dive deeper into the environment around us. Keep an eye out for the photography installation of the various trees found within the gardens themselves, or listen to recordings of birds to try and identify the different species.
Both educational and fun, it’ll be a great way to spend a day out together soaking up newfound nature knowledge together!
Part museum, part educational centre, Forest Discovery Centre is ideal for both young and old.
Plant lovers and families!
There is a cap of 40 people on the premises due to safe distancing measures, so it’s best to head down during off-peak hours!
