Get ready for an eye-opening experience at Haw Par Villa! The Hell’s Museum opens its gates! The museum offers visitors a deep dive into what humans think about Death and of their visions of the Afterlife.
Hell’s Museum is the only museum in the world dedicated to exploring how death and the afterlife are viewed and interpreted across religions, cultures, and ages. The immersive exhibition features specially commissioned videos that shed light on rituals and ceremonies for the dead, amongst other topics.
Specially curated displays will give visitors a better understanding of the commonalities across the world’s major belief systems – and how different communities around the world, as well as in Singapore, draw meaning from death and dying.
Stretched over 3,800 sqm, Hell’s Museum also provides a deeper understanding of Haw Par Villa’s infamous 10 Courts of Hell. Discover how concepts behind the graphic representations of sins and punishments in the afterlife evolved as ancient civilizations shared their cultures across time and space! Get your tickets here.
