With travel bubble rumors circulating through the city, Singapore residents are gearing up for the days when trips off the island once again become the norm. That said, travel will be very different in a post-Covid world, and until a vaccine is readily available, pre-departure Covid testing will likely be a requirement to enter many countries. Here’s our go-to guide on where to go for Covid-19 testing in Singapore.
COVID-19 TESTING FOR TRAVEL
Pre-departure Covid-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests can be done at any of the selected clinics on this list HERE. Please make sure you have an approval letter (if required) before you make your appointment at the clinic, otherwise, you will not be permitted to purchase a pre-departure Covid test.
How do I book an appointment for a pre-departure Covid-19 test?
Once you have obtained an approval letter for the pre-departure test (if required), you may call any of the clinics on the above list to book your appointment. You will need to clearly check the testing window for your destination country and ensure that your testing appointment is in line with this window. If your test is outside the designated window, you will likely not be permitted to board your flight. Due to limited time slots, once you have your flight departure time it is recommended to book a testing slot as early as possible.
What do I need to book an appointment for a pre-departure Covid-19 test?
You will need the following documents/items when you make your appointment:
– Approval email for the pre-departure Covid-19 test (if required)
– Identity card number and passport number
– Departure flight details
– Possible times for your test slot
– Singapore address
– Contact number
– Email address
What documents should I bring to the test appointment?
– Identity card and passport
– Approval letter for the pre-departure Covid-19 test (if required)
– E-ticket or booking reference showing your departure flight details
When will I get the results of my Covid-19 PCR test?
If you have met the cut-off timing at the clinic, you will receive your Covid-19 PCR test results and memo at least three hours prior to your departure. If you have a specific time you need to receive the memo, just let your clinic know in advance.
Your results will be emailed to your given email address, and you will need to print and bring the memo with you to the airport and on your travels yourself.
COVID-19 TESTING IF YOU ARE SHOWING SYMPTOMS
If you are showing symptoms of Covid-19, you can appeal for medical attention at one of Singapore’s 940 Public Health Preparedness Clinics (PHPCs) and polyclinics. For a list of these clinics, click HERE.
Upon arrival, your medical condition will be assessed and you will be referred to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) or the Accident and Emergency (A&E) department of a nearby hospital for further examination.
Covid-19 testing details in Singapore are constantly changing.
