Hotpot or steamboat is a popular choice for gathering due to dishes being suited for sharing and the bonding experience from cooking together. At Spice World Hotpot, its creative presentation will bring a smile to your face. You have to order the Instagrammable Teddy Bear Mala Hotpot (extra SG$8), where the pot arrives with a solid bear-shaped chili block seated inside and the boiling water will periodically dissolve it into a fragrant broth. Bizarre as it is, it’s also a visual treat or both adults and kids. There’s also a Hello Kitty option, but both are extremely limited with 10 of each served per day, so it’s best to call and reserve yours early!
If that isn’t enough to get you intrigued, order the Australian M8 Wagyu Beef platter (SG$38.90++) that comes with the meat draped carefully around a doll like a dress. Unfortunately, kids won’t be able to take the doll home, but they will enjoy the thinly-cut slices of meat that melts in the mouth. Other menu options to order include the One Meter-Long Mutton Slices (SG$28.90), Shrimp Paste (SG$18.90) and the Glutinous Rice Cakes with Brown Sugar Syrup (SG$7.90) as a sweet option to calm the palate.
For a more traditional meal, check out their SG$15++ Set Lunch available daily between 10:30am and 3pm. The deal is worth it too, considering there’s free flow appetizers, beverages, and fruits!
With the mala hotpot trend on the rise, we appreciate this unique novelty concept of serving up dishes using toy characters.
Everyone, especially those with a penchant for spicy food.
This resto is open till 4am from Sundays to Thursdays and 6am on Fridays and Saturdays, so you know where to head for a late night supper!
