The First Gashapon Bandai Official Shop In Malaysia

Growing up, Gashapon machines were big part of our childhoods. Gashapon machines are similar to the coin-operated toy vending machines seen outside grocery stores and other retailers in other countries. While American coin-operated vending toys are usually cheap, low-quality products Bandai’s gashapon are normally much higher-quality products. Many gashapon are considered collector’s items, with rare ones fetching extremely high prices in secondhand markets.

Good news for Gashapon lovers! Gashapon Bandai is opening its first ever official shop in Southeast Asia this March at IOI City Mall Putrajaya. The large-scale shop is set to be its first-ever outlet in Southeast Asia and will bring with it a range of Bandai’s latest products. At their gashapon store in Malaysia, you can check out over 300 capsule machines installed in a 846 square-feet space – so you’ll have no shortage of options to try and start your own Japanese figurine collection. Some of the collections you can expect to find includes figures from well-loved anime, manga, and tokusatsu, such as Spy x Family, Pokémon, Doraemon, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, and Ultraman.

Tokens are priced at RM5 each. The store is expected to have Normal Gashapon priced between RM15-RM35, and Premium Gashapon between RM35-RM125.
