Suwe Ora Jamu Indonesian Herbal Drinks

Indonesian Juice in a Cozy Cafe

Jamu, the Indonesian traditional herbal medicine passed down through several generations, is made of various natural plants and spices, and proven to have significant healing powers over several centuries. Suwe Ora Jamu’s misson is to reintroduce, preserve and popularize jamu.

Suwe Ora Jamu offers a variety of Indonesian herbal drink concoctions, with countless positive effects. Jamu kunyit asam, or turmeric and tamarind, is famous for its benefit to the digestive system, to prevent infections and to brighten the skin. Another favorite is beras kencur, rice powder and galangal (sand ginger), as well as wedang jahe, also known as ginger and palm sugar. Rice powder and galanglang refresh and improve digestion, and a fragrant ginger and palm sugar warm the body. In addition to Jamu, Suwe Ora Jamu also serves Indonesian sweet treats, including fried cassava, fried tofu, fried banana topped with a sweet caramel sauce, ginger tea with peanuts and sugar palm fruit and mung bean porridge served in a tin glass with coconut milk to name a few. Yummy! Let the healing begin!

Suwe Ora Jamu cafe is yet very comfortable and homey. Not only jamu, the tiny dining place also offers a variety of Indonesian courses and snacks. Whether you need an energy boost for the day or just some chill-out afternoon coffee on a sofa, you always can find a great reason here.
