Visit Sea World In Ancol, Jakarta With Kids

As an archipelago country, Indonesia is the home of 3,500 different species of fish! And Sea World is the place to go in Jakarta to get up close and personal with these sea creatures. Located inside the Ancol recreational area, Sea World is home to more than 22,000 fish, invertebrates, and reptiles. Here are the highlights:

Antasena Tunnel: This 80 meter-long tunnel is a favorite feature at Sea World. Kids will love gliding along the conveyer, and observing the marine life all above and around them.

Main Aquarium (Saltwater Aquarium): This is the biggest saltwater aquarium in South East Asia! Capable of storing up to 5 million liters of saltwater, this gigantic tank holds thousands of indigenous sea creatures in a rainbow of colors.

Freshwater Aquarium: Home to hundreds of different marine species around the world, such as piranhas, electric eels, and red tail freshwater catfish from the Amazon River. Cool!

Dugong (Sea Cow) Aquarium: This endangered and gentle sea mammal will charm you, as will the beautiful creatures that surround it, such as clown and cockatoo fish.

Shallow Ponds: Get a close look at alligators and turtles. Kids will love to touching the starfish, but watch out for sea urchin!
