How Do I Get To Water World Ocean Park?

Guide To Water World Ocean Park

The water park is just next door to Ocean Park on Shum Wan Road but not within walking distance of the main park so a shuttle or taxi is needed.  There is parking available on-site but you need to reserve in advance.

    • BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT:  Ocean Park Water World is set 5-minutes away from Ocean Park.  Visitors can take the MTR South Island Line and get off at Ocean Park Station for direct access to Ocean Park's park entrance for interchange to The Shuttle Bus.  You can catch their free shuttle bus from here!  Online reservations can be made here!
    • BY CAR:  They have parking available at Ocean Park Water World.  You need to book a space in advance and the cost is HK$200 (Monday-Friday) and HK$250 (Saturday/Sundays/Holidays).  There is no hourly parking available.  Book here!
    • BY MINIBUS: Green Minibus Route 29A* to and from Ap Lei Chau Estate and Water World OR Green Minibus Route 59A Special Departures* to and from Tung Sing Road, Aberdeen, and Water World
    • BY TAXI:  They have a drop-off area in the front but be sure to tell the taxi driver to take you to the Water World not Ocean Park as it is in a different area!
  • Security And Tips To Know In Advance

Guide To Water World Ocean Park
    • LOCKERS, SECURITY, AND BELONGINGS: On entry, you will have your bags checked.  You will be given the option (which we recommend to get a locker.  Lockers come in 3 sizes - Regular (HK$120 for 1-2 people), Family (HK$200 for 3-4 people), and Jumbo (HK$280 and for groups up to 6). For those that want to plan ahead (and we recommended you do), you can book your locker in advance here!  You can pay for lockers with your Octopus or Credit Card.
    • CHANGING ROOMS - They have family rooms, showers, toilets, nursing rooms for new parents, and changing rooms.
    • WHAT DO I WEAR TO OCEAN PARK WATERWORLD? Swimsuits and rash guards are great for kids and adults too!  You can wear flip-flops and leave them at the entrances to the rides or water shoes are also easy.  They have a fabulous store (Treasure Reef) at the entrance with sunscreen, swimsuits, goggles, waterproof bags, etc - just in case!
    • FOOD AND DRINK:  There are multiple F&B outlets offered both indoor and outdoor.  They offer burgers, rice dishes, and even vegetarian items too!  There is certainly more on offer than we expected.  Click here for the full list of restaurants in the park.
  • Exploring Rides And Age Recommendations At Water World Ocean Park

Guide To Water World Ocean Park

We love that there is a handy filtering option on their website where you can sort the rides by age, by height, and by type (great for non-swimmers, waterslides, indoor, outdoor, family rides, and more).  Click here for their handy sorting tool and get planning.

    • TODDLERS/BABIES:  Whisker's Splash is the perfect place for the little ones to enjoy!  There is a large splash pad area, mini slides, and a big bucket that dumps every few minutes.  Little kids love this area.  The area is bordered off making keeping an eye on the kids easier for parents (and there is an F&B outlet right in front)!  In addition, The Lazy River, Rip Tide, and the Wave Pools (Indoor and Outdoor options) are perfect for little ones and their parents.
    • BIG KIDS (Ages 4+):  Kids will have their pick depending on their level of adventure and their height! Kids will enjoy Surf Striker (indoor surfing), Rainbow Rush (the bright rainbow slides), Cavern Chase (waterslide with rafts for 4), Cyclone Spin (tube), Tropical Twist (tube).
    • TWEENS AND TEENS: There are loads on offer for teenagers and tweens at Ocean Park Water World.  For the daredevils, there are quite a few scary rides that kids love!  Vortex is a super fast raft ride, Skyhigh Fall (raft ride), and for those looking for drop rides -  Thunder Loop, Daredevil Drop and Bravery Cliffs.
