Exciting news – a new pedestrian walkway is set to open this year, linking Tai Kok Tsui to the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD). This nearly one-kilometer-long promenade will provide a direct, smooth, and convenient route for Tai Kok Tsui residents to access the vibrant cultural hub of West Kowloon.
This new harbourfront space isn’t just about stunning views — it’s designed with families, pets, and fitness lovers in mind. The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority has also added exciting amenities, including:
This development follows the success of the East Coast Boardwalk, which connects Kennedy Town to Shau Kei Wan. That 13km-long promenade has not only become our new favorite spot for locals thanks to the new Sai Ying Pun Waterfront playground, and expansive spaces where you can run, walk, scoot, and everything in between!
The new walkway will make it easier than ever to access the West Kowloon Cultural District, home to world-class facilities like the M+ Museum and the Hong Kong Palace Museum. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a stroll, take in breathtaking harbour views, or spend quality time with family and pets, this promenade promises to be a game-changer for Kowloon residents.
In addition to the Tai Kok Tsui-WKCD connection, other exciting harbourfront projects are in the works this year:
These developments are part of the government’s continued efforts to expand and improve public spaces, ensuring they remain accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
So, grab your sneakers, leash up the dog, and get ready to explore Kowloon’s newest urban oasis! With beautiful views, excellent amenities, and easy access to art and culture, this promenade will be a must-visit destination for families, fitness fans, and pet lovers alike.
