Take a glimpse into the African savannah at Ocean Park’s newest Little Meerkat and Giant Tortoise Adventure Exhibit. Inside a welcoming, earth-toned African-styled pavillion, you and the kids will have the opportunity to get up close to meerkats and the Aldabra giant tortoises.
Ocean Park is home to 20 meerkats, a social “mob” of adaptive animals who enjoy working with each other to tackle challenges. Since arriving to Hong Kong, these meerkats have given birth to three Hong Kong-born meerkat pups. Seated near the meerkats are the Aldabra giant tortoise, of which Ocean Park has two 15 year old males. These tortoises are the second largest tortoise in the world and have an average life span of 100 years!
At the exhibit, the kids can also partake in a series of interactive and experiential games that involve helping the meerkats and giant tortoises pick their food, race against different
African animals and see the world from the angle of Aldabra giant tortoise!
Kids can learn first hand about the fascinating lives of meerkats and Aldabra tortoises at Ocean Park's newest animal exhibit!
