Opening in late April at 9 Shin Hing Street, Primo Posto Ristoro is set to bring the authentic spirit of Milan to the heart of Hong Kong. Inspired by the contrasts of Milan—where historic charm meets modern design—this new dining spot offers a refreshing pause from the city’s relentless pace, inviting guests to connect, celebrate, and savor life’s moments.
Primo Posto is built on three pillars: chef-inspired cuisine, warm hospitality, and a sense of community. The space, influenced by iconic Italian artists like Fortunato Depero and Fornasetti, combines elegance with character. Guests are welcomed like old friends, with thoughtful touches such as complimentary polenta chips and a playful Turian bull statue at the entrance—a nod to Milanese tradition.
At the helm is Chef Gabriele, whose Northern Italian roots shine through a menu of Milanese classics crafted with authenticity and heart. Highlights include the crispy cotoletta alla milanese (HK$568), flavorful mondeghili meatballs (HK$98), and tender pumpkin gnocchi (HK$178). The drinks menu complements the experience with Italian staples like the sbagliato cocktail (HK$78) and a curated wine selection from Lombardy and nearby Ticino, Switzerland.
More than a restaurant, Primo Posto is a neighborhood gathering spot—perfect for a casual lunch, an afternoon spritz, or a celebratory dinner. Nestled on the historic steps of Shin Hing Street, it invites diners to slow down and linger, making every visit feel like home. As Chef Gabriele describes it, Primo Posto is a true “ristoro”—a place to return to, where everyone is welcome, and every meal tells a story.
We love Shin Hing Street - and this new neighborhood restaurant fits right into the surroundings!
