Don Pedro: Sai Ying Pun’s New Neighborhood Steakhouse Gem

Steak, Malbec & More At This Cozy Spot

Don Pedro: Sai Ying Pun’s New Neighborhood Steakhouse Gem

Looking for an intimate neighborhood hangout and craving steak, Malbec, and a dash of Buenos Aires charm? Don Pedro, Sai Ying Pun’s newest cozy steakhouse and wine bar, has (soft) opened its doors on Second Street, right next to popular spots like Crushd and Brut. Born from Chris Mark’s (formerly of Black Sheep Restaurants) love affair with Argentina’s culinary culture, this unpretentious 35-seat gem promises an authentic slice of Argentinian hospitality—fine steak, flowing wine, and a warm, laid-back vibe.

With a focus on premium ingredients, Don Pedro takes dining seriously. Succulent cuts like a 75-day dry-aged ribeye and 40-day aged tenderloin are cooked to perfection on a traditional Spanish plancha, paired with sides like crispy oyster mushrooms and bravas potatoes. The menu also leans into Argentine traditions, from house-made charcuterie to beef empanadas and even the namesake dessert: freshly turned gelato topped with whiskey and walnuts.

Wine lovers will revel in an exclusive Malbec flight, showcasing Argentina’s beloved grape in thrilling new styles—from rosés to bold reds. At HK$600 per head for steak and wine, it’s refreshingly reasonable for quality this high.

With raw, butcher-inspired interiors, soft candlelight, and a nostalgic playlist of Spanish-style pop classics, Don Pedro feels equal parts cozy and cool. Whether you’re a Sai Ying Pun local or planning a night out, Don Pedro is destined to become a favorite neighborhood hangout for relaxed nights of steak and good conversation.

Bookings open from 2 June 2026—venture over and discover your little corner of Buenos Aires!
