  • Review of The Maples Niseko

THE LOCATION: The Maples Niseko Is Easy To Access + Ski-In/Ski-Out + Located In Upper Hirafu

The Maples Niseko sits in upper Hirafu, delivering true ski-in/ski-out access right by the slopes while remaining steps from dining, shopping, and village energy. Shea and her crew loved how easy it was to hit the slopes, walk over for coffee in the morning at Niseko's best cafes, and visit bars and restaurants in the evening.

    • Top Tip:  Be sure to book your Japan Arrival Card before your trip!  This will save you lots of time.

How To Get To The Maples Niseko?

    • Families fly into New Chitose Airport (CTS), about 2.5 hours away by private transfer or shuttle. Book Bus To / From Airport And Niseko
    • The hotel’s central position makes mornings simple: grab gear from on-site lockers and hit the lifts without hassle—something the family raved about during their February 2026 stay and can’t wait to repeat.

How Do I Organize Lift Tickets?

    • For peak season, you can book your lift tickets in advance.  During other periods, you can ski out of the hotel to the counter at the bottom of the slope and purchase on the day.  Shea skied off-peak, and there was no line at the counter. You can get deals if you book online - so go for that if you can!
    • For the 2026–27 season, adult 1-day Niseko United All Mountain lift passes during peak season (December 24 – February 28) are ¥13,500 at the counter, or ¥12,800 when purchased online.   You can visit this site for all the details.
    • We love how flexible Niseko is for skiing.  You can book on a point system or a day system.  Score!

    What About Ski Rentals?

    • The Maples Niseko organized a free shuttle to and from Rhythm Niseko for ski rentals.  Shea recommends booking your equipment in advance, as it's very easy and saves loads of time.
    • Storing your equipment is a breeze as The Maples Niseko offers lockers right on the slope.
    • At the end of your trip, you can drop your Rhythm skis and equipment with the concierge.  It is super easy!
