China is the top choice for Mandarin immersion. Summer and winter camps in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou mix morning language lessons with afternoons exploring hutongs, temples and the Great Wall. Younger kids can join day camps while parents stay nearby, and teens can choose fully residential or homestay camps for the full cultural experience.

LTL started out as a Mandarin school in Beijing, but its language camps now run across Asia. Kids can learn Mandarin at a summer camp in China (Beijing, Shanghai or the beach camp in Beihai) or in Taipei, Taiwan, as well as Japanese in Tokyo and Korean in Seoul.
Mornings are spent in small language classes (average five to eight students), with cultural activities in the afternoon and a full-day trip every Saturday. Kids can choose how immersive they want to go: day camps where they stay with parents, a residence camp with shared rooms and an on-site coordinator, or a homestay camp living with a local family.
