Singapore is an island city, but other than Sentosa, there never seemed to be much island activities that we could explore. Until now. Come October 2023, Lazarus Island has undergone a full revamp, with sea sports activities, cabin staycations and new dining options!
Previously, Tiny Away Escape @ Lazarus Island opened to much fanfare, with family-friendly cabins in the thick of nature. Now, you and your kiddos can explore a more comprehensive experience with Sol, which is a convenience store that retails locally-produced groceries for snacks, ready-to-eat meals and even barbecues.
These F&B options will be the perfect companions to your sports activities, organized by Lazarus Sea Sports Centre (LSCSC). Their range of activities include kayaking, stand-up paddling and floating yoga, which has to be tried to be believed. If you’ve been looking to plan for a team-building or family-bonding day, now you’ve got just the plan.
Nature-lovers can also look forward to Into The Woods by the end of 2023, a start-up initiative that brings you closer to Mother Nature. There will be 9 glamping units with beach views and camping vibes, perfect for a quick escape away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Each unit can fit up to 4 guests, and includes eco-friendly welcome kits that includes painting sets and stationery.
With these new and exciting activities that are now readily available at Lazarus Island, make it your next family destination over the weekend. The island’s appeal is not just a reminder to slow down and take a breather, but also to live with nature responsibly and sustainably.
This new initiative gives all ages more beach options beyond Sentosa and East Coast Park.
Families, friends, couples – just about anyone!
Getting to Lazarus Island requires a 30-minute ferry ride from Marina South Pier to St. John’s Island. Thereafter, walk 15 minutes along the boardwalk from St. John’s Island to get to Lazarus Island.
