A small 100-meter stretch of the Rail Corridor between Upper Bukit Timah and Choa Chu Kang Road, is now home to Singapore’s very own glow-in-the-dark pathway! Made up of four different surface materials, the section absorbs ultraviolet light in the day and emits a soft bluish glow at night. The track will undergo a 2-year trial to determine its safety, durability and you’re invited to share your feedback. For more information on the Rail Corridor, visit www.ura.gov.sg/ms/railcorridor.
First of its kind in Singapore - time to get a little adventurous at night and explore.
Everyone!
Luminous pathways are also found elsewhere in the world like Poland, Netherlands, and Australia, both for aesthetic and practical purposes.
