For starters, smoothie bowls (SG$8 onwards) will help to beat the heat in Singapore’s humidity, but if you’re craving for either something more filling or shareable, the range of toasts (SG$7 onwards) – from smashed avocado to cream cheese salmon – will do the trick while you also enjoy their caffeinated brews.

Perhaps what makes The Social Space such a joy to visit is also their advocacy for minimizing waste. Instead of plastic, their cuppas are served in a handmade mug (from Center Pottery and also available for sale!) while plastic straws are replaced with metal ones for customers. In addition to doing your part in assisting this positive cause, it’s a good opportunity to instill waste reduction habits from a young age among the kids! Take your part for the environment one step further, by bringing home some of the products featured in the retail space within the outlet as well – and they’re all eco-friendly and serve good causes. Some of the highlights include Perky By Nature’s coffee cups made from bamboo fiber, ‘ear mugs’ made by The Ketumu Project that helps people suffering from schizophrenia, as well as accessories made from Fugeelah that utilizes recycled materials.
