Pickleball Court in Singapore's Farrer Park

Pickleball fever continues to sweep Singapore, and the latest addition is a fun, accessible hub right in the heart of the city. The ActiveSG Courts @ Farrer Park officially launched on March 14, 2026, with eight dedicated sheltered pickleball courts carved from the former waiting area at Little India Bus Terminal. Open to the public from March 16, 2026, this spot offers a convenient, weather-proof way for families to get moving together.

Located at 5A Race Course Road, Singapore 219775, it’s just a 6-minute walk from Little India MRT – super handy for parents juggling strollers or young kids. The courts are available Monday to Saturday, 9am–9pm (closed Sundays when the space returns to bus terminal duties). Book via the MyActiveSG+ app – peak hours use a ballot system, while others are first-come, first-served. Each session lasts one hour, with a limit of two slots per day per person.

Pricing (per hour):

  • Singaporeans and PRs: SG$4.50 (non-peak) / SG$9.50 (peak)
  • Standard rates: SG$5.90 / SG$12.50

This brings Singapore’s total public bookable pickleball courts to over 80, part of a bigger push under the Sports Facilities Master Plan to get active spaces within a 10-minute walk of most homes by 2030. Plans for the area include the ActiveSG Sport Village @ Farrer Park, adding a sheltered swimming complex, inclusive gyms, and multipurpose play areas – exciting for growing families!

Why Little Steps Loves It:

Pickleball blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis into an easy-to-learn game with solid paddles and a lightweight perforated ball. It’s low-impact yet energetic, making it ideal for mixed-age groups. The sheltered setup means no rain interruptions, and the central location keeps outings simple. Plus, launches featured equipment for all ages and levels, showing it’s welcoming for beginners and kids.

Who It's Perfect For:

  • Families with kids of all ages (pickleball suits beginners and younger players especially well – shorter court, lower net).
  • Active parents looking for quick, fun bonding time.
  • Anyone wanting an affordable, accessible sport near Little India and Farrer Park.

What Else:

The facility highlights creative space optimization – turning underused areas into community spots. Quiet play options help minimize noise for nearby residents. Singapore’s pickleball scene is booming, with more courts, events, and even themed sessions popping up island-wide.
