Created as a platform for artists with disabilities to showcase their talents, Shaping Hearts has grown into a celebration of creativity, inclusion and community. The 2026 festival encourages visitors to do more than simply look at artwork — families can get involved, explore different ways of seeing and experiencing the world, and discover the stories behind the artists and their work. You can also purchase artworks at the festival, with all proceeds going directly to supporting artists with disabilities.

The Scoop – What to Expect:
- Immersive Art Zones: Step into four playful spaces exploring Rhythm, Texture, Visual and Motion, where art comes alive through movement, sound, touch and creativity. Kids can make their mark on community artworks, experiment with interactive installations and explore sensory experiences designed to encourage curiosity.
- Meet The Artists: At the heart of the festival are artworks created by artists with disabilities, giving families an opportunity to discover their creativity, stories and perspectives. Shaping Hearts was established in 2019 to give artists with disabilities a platform to build recognition and independence through art.
- Family-Friendly Performances: Alongside the art activities, visitors can catch inclusive performances throughout the festival weekends, including dance, storytelling, music and theatre.
- PLAYDATE@PDD: On September 13 2026 from 9am-3pm, PLAYDATE@PDD will transform Campus Boulevard into an inclusive playground with 16 curated pop-up booths featuring activities created by local creators, youth groups and community groups. Collect your passport and tokens, explore each zone and trade tokens for tickets across four zones. Redeem a goodie bag upon completion!
