The Hollandse School offers classes for children from ages 4 to 12. The medium of instruction used is Dutch, while English is taught in primary school. Many foreign schools teach Dutch for a few hours each week, but this is in no way equivalent to the Dutch Language education provided by HSL. If their pupils return to the Netherlands, they will have no problem entering primary or secondary education and will also have a huge advantage when it comes to English language skills. All HSS teachers are trained in Holland, and their school year is divided into three terms (starting in August and running through June the following year). This school has one campus and is located close to the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.

OWIS stands out from other bilingual schools in Singapore because it offers students a truly bilingual environment in which students receive almost equal instruction in both English and Mandarin. The program is available to students in Grades 1 through 5 and is taught by a bilingual teacher with the support of a bilingual teaching assistant in each class. Students in the bilingual program enjoy a personalized experience, as there is a 1:12 teacher-to-student ratio, and they will receive in-depth instruction in these areas relative to their Mandarin and English language skill levels. In addition, this program supports the learning of Chinese culture and literature. The bilingual program at OWIS aligns with the IB PYP, and students also receive weekly instruction from their specialized teachers in Music, Art and Physical Education.
