EVITA is based on the life of Eva Peron, the second wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron. It follows her story, right from her humble beginnings, her rise to power, charity work, her status as the “spiritual leader of the nation”, and eventual death. It also features some of the most loved songs in musical theatre including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, Oh What a Circus, On this Night of a Thousand Stars, You Must Love me, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall.
