The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the four most important Chinese festivals and the festival is for lunar appreciation and moon watching, when mooncakes are regarded as an indispensable delicacy. Mooncakes are offered between friends or on family gatherings while celebrating the festival. But what?! Did you know that a typical full-sized mooncake packs more than 700 calories; some varieties may even contain close to 1,000 calories. For example, a plain baked mooncake with lotus seed paste has 716 calories. A plain snowskin mooncake with lotus paste has 975 calories, according to the Health Promotion Board? Don’t worry, our Mid-Autumn Virtual Run has got you covered. Mid-Autumn is all about family and kinship, so grab your friends and families for a Mid-Autumn Virtual Run instead of bonding over plates of sinful mooncakes.
