We reckon the month of October is a perfect time to experience a scare-fest of your own with your group of friends and family members in this immersive theatrical horror experience. A first of its kind, this is an interactive walk-through experience from room to room, maze to maze set in the fictional Colle Eastern Hotel. Hauntu is a blend of live theatre performance, role play and storytelling that comes together to provide an engaging experience that’s never been offered before in Kuala Lumpur. Much more than a haunted house, Hauntu features real actors, audience interaction, intricate mazes and interconnected storylines that center around a colonial hotel filled with mystery and the paranormal. Participants not only get to take on roles within the storylines but also experience Malaysia in different eras from its pre-independence days right up to the present. Hauntu is the latest experiential offering from Breakout, an international franchise with 10 outlets globally.
Suitable for teens and adults, the minimum recommended age is 15 years, although children from 8 to 14 years are allowed in if accompanied by an adult. The full experience will take 90 minutes, and visitors are put into groups of 10 with different episodes unfolding, each set in three different eras, the 50s, 80s, and 90s. Tickets are priced at RM58 per person.
