With the installation of Malaysia’s 16th Yang-Di-Pertuan-Agong (King) this year, the Raja Kita Exhibition is a timely opportunity to get a glimpse of the history and role of the institution of the Yang-Di-Pertuan-Agong. Expect to get a closer look at the various collections featuring Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah that had never been shown to the public before. Among them are the queen’s wedding gifts from the Al-Sultan on their wedding day. In addition, visitors would also have a chance to take a closer look at the royal couple’s personalities through a showcase of their hobbies and activities.
The exhibition, which is free for the public, is aimed at channeling information and knowledge on the role and contribution of Sultan Abdullah as a ruler. With modernized technology, there is an interactive approach using the Augmented Reality Technique where visitors, especially the younger generation, can download and scan and store information of the exhibits. Be sure to witness holographic techniques and an interactive wall as new features of our museum. Visitors would also have the chance to see royal regalia as Cogan Alam, Cogan Agama, Cokmar, and royal swords. Over 150 artifacts and collections from the Istana Negara, Office of the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Istana Pahang, Pahang Museum Corporation, National Archives and Department of Museums Malaysia are on display.
