Who says classical music is boring? Get ready for all sorts of fun surprises when the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) plays on stage during their Family Fun Day shows. You can expect almost anything! Imagine dancing aliens, musical superheroes and singing wizards who create magic as they narrate stories and play instruments. Little ones get a dose of what a real concert is like plus all the extra ‘kiddie’ perks like role plays, sketches and fascinating props. Clap, cheer and sing along to the music as you interact with the conductor and his orchestra of musicians. A presenter, typically, guides and explains the music and introduces the amazing range of orchestra instruments to little ones. These well-curated concerts serve as the perfect platform to create interest and instill appreciation for Mozart, Brahms and Beethoven.
An interactive and engaging way to learn about classical music that may sometimes see your little ones joining musicians on stage.
Children aged 4 and up (and once they turn 8, kids can attend night-time concerts with their parents).
Concerts are specifically designed with families and younger audiences in mind- so these are weekend concerts and an hour long at most.
