PUBLIC SWIMMING POOLS IN KOWLOON
Clearwater Bay dwellers looking for a new place to play should journey to the Tseung Kwan O swimming pool complex. There’s a large main pool, a training pool, two teaching pools, a diving pool, two leisure pools and one for toddlers! There are also mega slides creating more of a waterpark feel. If you’re in the area, you can pop over to the Tseung Kwan O public library or head to the mall in the MTR station packed with foodie options.

Another favorite in the New Territories, this pool is a favorite amongst residents around the area (including families in Clearwater Bay). Many call this pool a waterpark with its awesome selection of waterslides, 4 leisure pools, animal water toys, and more. The nearby park is awesome for a picnic before or after and has a huge playground.

Definitely one of the more entertaining and kid-friendly public swimming pools in Hong Kong! This public pool has three sizeable outdoor leisure pools complete with waterfalls, rocks, and a footbridge. The islands in the middle make for an excellent sunbathing spot for the ones who like a good tan in the summer. And if you're not done with playing outdoors? Why not pay a visit to the family of flamingos and turtles in Kowloon Park!

This destination public pool is popular with families with kids of all ages. You will find a slew of waterslides, water shooters, and fountains too. For the little kids, they have a toddler pool while older tots and kids can explore the famous pirate ship (located inside). For those looking for a pool where you can play and stay all day - this is one for the list!

A favorite for older kids looking for bigger slides, this public pool is a mere 5-minutes walk from the Tsing Yi MTR! On offer here are the main pool, teaching pool, leisure pool, toddlers' pool, spectator stand (974 seats), and family changing rooms and showers. The big slides are definitely the main attraction here.

It’s a bit out of the way for most, but the Kwun Tong pool has got the mommy community in a whirl. Not only are the indoor facilities top-notch, but there’s also a secondary pool outside along with two teaching pools. What’s more, is that there’s a spacious sunbathing area that begs for a cool drink and a lay-down.

PUBLIC SWIMMING POOLS ON HONG KONG ISLAND
Tucked away behind Happy Valley Racecourse and surrounded by neighboring high schools is the Morrison Hill public swimming pool. Not only is this unexpected pool a quiet retreat on most weekdays and it also has a resto where parents can stock up on snacks while the little ones do laps in the spacious pool. There are rows of lounge chairs, ideal for soaking up the sun and flipping through glossy mags for a leisure day by the pool.

Aside from the playground and sports areas, cool down at the pool complex, which has not one, but five pools in total, including a 50-meter standard pool; a training pool; a deep-water diving pool; a shallow children’s pool, and a paddling pool for wee ones. If you want to relax, there’s a spacious tanning area packed with loungers (and close enough to keep an eye on your little rascals).

Hongkongers living on the Westside can bring their kids to this family-friendly pool that has plenty of fun and that’ll wow anyone under eight. Not only is there a welcoming children’s area, but onsite facilities also include family changing rooms, so you won’t have to squeeze into teensy tiny stalls. And for some tête-a-tête competition, there are regular swim meets held in the indoor pool, complete with a 1,000-seat stand and electronic scoreboards.

These lovely pools are set way high up on a rooftop. Children have the choice between two kiddie-friendly large pools to cool off and have some fun splashing around! The other is a standard diving pool to swim where you can work on your cardio, swim some laps, and call it a day. Make sure to enjoy the surroundings with your little munchkin in one of the 800 seats at the spectator stand and take in the beautiful sunset!

You’d think that southside families would make a beeline for this sparkling pool complex in droves, but on most days the complex (with both outdoor and indoor pools) is empty. On weekends, though, they become a popular meeting place for competitions, training, and swimming classes as there’s both a children’s pool and a toddler’s pool, perfect for getting the little ones in the water at every age.

PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL IN NEW TERRITORIES
Inside this stunning architectural edifice, you'll discover a magnificent 50-meter indoor pool, perfect for swimming laps. Outside, there's another spacious pool with a spectator area elevated enough to keep an eye on the kids. The pool is surrounded by lush greenery and rolling mountains.
The Sai Kung pool offers swimmers an easy option to dive in with a large pool with Olympic-sized lanes, a free-form teaching pool, and a leisure pool. Your bubs are going to have a ball in the kid’s pool, where there are swirling slides and fun games. Like all of Hong Kong’s public pools, there are facilities for people with disabilities. There are always multiple lifeguards on duty so that parents can rest assured.

Don’t let the giant lanes and massive electronic scoreboards scare you. Besides the main pool (which is where many New Territories swimming teams go head-to-head), there’s also a children’s pool and family changing rooms in which you can maneuver with your babe-in-arms with ease.

Ma On Shan Swimming Pool is loved and recognized by the community and the kiddos due to its distinctive mushroom and tree-shaped fountains at the three leisure pools. This pool has four outdoor slides at 4.3m and 9m tall for the thrill-seekers and is said to be Hong Kong’s fastest waterslide! Head over there to get your adrenaline fix while younger kids can have their share of fun at the smaller slides.
