Accessible outdoor adventures here in Hong Kong
Calling all adventurous outdoor enthusiasts! HK Outsider offers you a chance to really challenge your skills whilst building confidence and meeting new people. HK Outsider runs exciting outdoor activities including hikes, coasteering, canyoning, stream hikes, and rock climbing. These adventures are run both in the day and night and even the beginner level peak scramble will challenge you. The group strives to show everyone an alternative view of the beautiful city of Hong Kong whilst testing you through technically challenging outdoor adventures. If are you not afraid of heights and fancy a challenge, this is a fantastic community for you to join. The adventurous team is led by canyoner and climber, Roland Sharman who created HK Outside back in 2017. Now with a team of 10 experienced outdoor leaders, HK Outsider community provides safe access and tested equipment for some of the most challenging outdoor activities in Hong Kong.
Most activities will involve a fee however some of the technical hikes are free. Get involved and meet some great people. HK Outsider can also offer team-building activities plus private guides.
Activities on offer
- Technical hikes: Choose from either day or night hikes off the beaten track. Most hikes will include some climbing and scrambling.
- Coasteering: By navigating the rugged Hong Kong coastline, you will enjoy bouldering, swimming and possibly cliff jumping. This adventure is great for all abilities.
- Stream trekking: This is generally a hike and scrambles up the stream towards.
- Canyoning: Using skills such as swimming, cliff jumping, and abseiling, this activity requires advanced skills.
