With schools being closed, the kids will have plenty of time to pick up a new hobby. Perhaps learning how to sustainably plant is one that the kids might like. A perfect way to get started is to learn how to use household items to make fertilizer. K11 has put together a workshop that will teach you several urban planting tricks, including the nifty trick of using your coffee to make the perfect compost!
The workshop will teach the kids to understand the basic concepts of urban agriculture, including the essential elements for plant growth and plant morphology. At the workshop, kids will also have first-hand experience urban farming by farming, weeding, and fertilizing plants on a roof.
This workshop is priced at HK$460 per person, and spots can be reserved here. The workshop is open to kids aged 4 and up.
