African drums, or djembes, hail from West Africa and are a wonderful way to bring people together. At the African Drumming Academy, kids can join the fun, high energy classes to learn all about djembes and how to play them.
In these classes, kids will learn basic drumming techniques such as bass, tone, and slap from a friendly teacher. Following rhythmic patterns, the kids will also play with other students in a relaxed and fun environment!
Classes for kids are held every Saturday morning from 9am to 10am, 10am to 11am and 11am to 12pm. Classes for kids with special needs are held every Saturday afternoon from 4pm to 5pm and 5pm to 6pm.
This is a fantastic way to learn about West African culture and music, as well as to meet and make music with other children. Classes fill up quickly, so sign up soon!
