She’s back!! Our favorite “spinster” Bridget Jones returns, with her fourth installment in the beloved romantic comedy series, “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” which is set to open in cinemas on February 13, 2025. The film, directed by Michael Morris, brings back Renée Zellweger, reprising her iconic role as Bridget Jones, now navigating life as a widow and single mother of two. Sounds like a perfect Galentine’s Day plan!
The movie, based on Helen Fielding’s 2013 novel of the same name, finds Bridget grappling with grief while trying to rediscover herself in a new reality. As she ventures back into the dating world, she encounters two potential suitors: a younger man named Roxster, played by Leo Woodall, and her son’s science teacher, Mr. Wallaker, portrayed by Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Fans will be happy to see the return of familiar faces, including Hugh Grant as the charming rogue Daniel Cleaver and Emma Thompson reprising her role as Dr. Rawlings.
“Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” will be screened at various cinemas across Hong Kong, including Emperor Cinemas, Broadway Circuit and MCL Cinema.
So gather the gals (and boys), and get ready for some Galentine Day fun!
