As football excitement builds for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, New Town Plaza in Sha Tin is transforming into Hong Kong’s ultimate family-friendly football hub with its “Legend Unfold” campaign. From massive LEGO builds and live match screenings to interactive AI experiences and playful installations, this Sha Tin hotspot offers screen-free bonding, creative play, and plenty of thrills perfect for little fans and parents alike.
New Town Plaza has pulled out all the stops to celebrate the world’s biggest football event with a hat-trick of headline attractions that blend creativity, technology, and pure family fun. At the center is the stunning LEGO “Build Your Football Legend” Exhibition on Level 3, featuring Hong Kong’s first 3-metre-tall FIFA World Cup Trophy made from over 150,000 bricks by local Certified Professional Andy Hung. Kids will love posing with LEGO figures of Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappé, and more while tackling interactive zones like the Football Fan Creative Zone for custom jersey designs and the Penalty Shootout Challenge.
The Pre-Heat Party brings live screenings of 25 key matches on a giant 520-inch LED screen at the L1 Arena, including opening games, quarter-finals, and the final. From 11 June to 20 July, the Tap In with Visa Interactive Pavilion adds AI photo booths, dribble challenges, and personalized trading cards for Point members who meet spending thresholds.
Throughout the mall, football fever spreads with the adidas Jersey Exhibition on L5 showcasing national team kits, a giant football installation and water play zone at the L7 Sky Garden, plus themed workshops at Play Park and rewards for shoppers. It’s the perfect mix of free exploration and paid extras that keeps energy high for all ages.
