The Peninsula Hong Kong has just announced a new collaborative venture with another of the city’s cherished icons: the 125-year-old Star Ferry. The beautifully appointed and lavishly renovated Star Ferry will start welcoming guests on the 31st of March until July 2, 2023.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays during that period, The Peninsula Hong Kong guests can choose from two splendid venues for enjoying the hotel’s traditional Afternoon Tea: The Lobby restaurant, or aboard the lavishly outfitted World Star, where they will be treated to an array of sweet and savory bites, live music, and stunning views between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm. Guests of The Peninsula Afternoon Tea on the Harbour will be able to partake in exclusive tea offerings such as tuna Niçoise on focaccia, green asparagus and cheddar quiche and sweet treats including citrus jelly and vanilla cheesecake, Mont-Blanc chocolate cream on a sesame biscuit, and naturally The Peninsula’s famed raisin scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam.
At the weekend in the evenings, The Star Ferry and The Peninsula will be inviting guests to a Sunset Soirée Cruise on the harbor, where guests can join an elegant floating cocktail party starting at 5:30 pm. The two-hour cruise will take guests through Victoria Habor, from Tsim Sha Tsui Pier to Ting Kau Bridge from where they will be able to admire the West Kowloon Cultural District and Stonecutters Island. Guests will be served indulgent canapés such as snow crab roulades with yuzu cream, seared tuna loin with salmon caviar, and more sweet and savory bites. The hotel’s skilled mixology team will be serving cocktails and drinks for the occasion and there will be live DJ music and lots of picture-perfect photo opportunities to mark this special occasion.
