
Muse Fest is back this summer under the theme of “Curating the New” that will highlight the concept of transformation. In addition to brand new museum exhibits, there will be tons of interactive programs that the kids can take part in. This summer-long festival combines the best of all the museums in Hong Kong, and here are the highlights that you can look forward to:
* Join the A Different Cinematic Voice – Sound Effect Workshop on July 7 at the Hong Kong Film Archive for free. There will be 10 sessions, and sign-ups are conducted starting 1pm on the event day at the G/F foyer. (Conducted in Cantonese)
* Take part in the Winter Games from 10am to 7pm between Jun 14 and Oct 15 on weekdays except for Thursdays. Located in the Hong Kong Space Museum this interactive event is offered at a standard price of HK$30. Admission is HK$10 on Wednesdays and HK$5 for full-time students.
* Enjoy the Tea Demonstration in Four Seasons at the K.S Lo Gallery on July 6 from 11am to 12 noon. It’s free admission with a ten-person quota and you can reserve your spot by dialing 2869 6690. (Conducted in Cantonese)
* From now until Oct 2, Becoming Jane – Inspiring a Shared Planet will be hosted at the Hong Kong Science Museum from 10am to 7pm on weekdays except for Thursdays and on weekends from 10am to 9pm. Standard tickets are HK$20 with free admission to full-time students as well as on Wednesdays.
