Art@Harbour returns for its second year to Hong Kong this March, and this time is teaming up with the famed artist collective TeamLab! Entry is free but a ticket is required.
This incredible outdoor art project will take place on both sides of Victoria Harbour from March 25 to June 8, 2024, offering a unique experience that combines art, science, and technology.
Get ready to be amazed by a series of outdoor art installations and digital art displays at the Victoria Harbourfront. The highlight of the exhibition is “teamLab: Continuous”, a captivating display created by teamLab in collaboration with the LCSD’s Art Promotion Office and Science Promotion Unit (SPU). Head to Tamar Park and the Central and Western District Promenade (Central Section) to witness the magic unfold. Here you will encounter a spectacular display of vibrant ovoids that change colors and sounds, all influenced by the interactions of visitors.
You’ll be mesmerized by the luminous ovoids that fill the park, changing colors and emitting enchanting sounds in response to your interactions. As you explore, the light from the dozens of trees will also transform, harmonizing with the ovoids and creating a breathtaking spectacle. The installation process is already underway at Tamar Park, giving you a chance to see the artwork come to life.
Also in Tamar Park, the “Science in Art” exhibition will amaze visitors with two interactive art installations created by local art group LAAB Architects and artist Dylan Kwok. Two immersive installations will explore the intriguing nature and properties of light.
Over on the other side of Victoria Harbour, outdoor art installations and digital art displays will light up iconic locations such as the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, K11 MUSEA promenade, and the Sino LuminArt Façade at Tsim Sha Tsui Centre and Empire Centre, transforming the waterfront promenade and skyline. Stay tuned for more amazing artwork to be unveiled soon.
