Something golden and unmistakably Portuguese is coming to Hong Kong! Manteigaria, the iconic Lisbon-born bakery renowned for its world-class Pastéis de Nata, is opening its first Hong Kong flagship right in the heart of the city, on Queen’s Road Central! The grand opening planned for 2 June 2026.
Known for its dedication to artisanal precision and transparency, Manteigaria crafts every tart fresh daily, ensuring each bite is buttery, flaky, and irresistibly creamy. Visitors will even get to watch the entire process in-store—from dough shaping to baking—highlighting the brand’s philosophy of quality and authenticity.
To celebrate the grand opening, 300 complimentary Pastéis de Nata will be gifted to the public on 2 June, marking the start of Manteigaria’s delicious presence right in the heart of Central. Each fresh batch will be announced by the traditional ringing of a bell, a Lisbon custom symbolizing the arrival of warm pastries ready to be enjoyed.
Founded in Lisbon in 2014, Manteigaria is celebrated globally for its crisp, golden pastry and creamy custard centers. Now, Hong Kong is about to experience this Portuguese tradition firsthand, where craftsmanship meets taste in every tart.
