Greeting us from the entrance of Jalan Pisang facing Victoria street is the "Girl with the lion cub" by the popular Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic. Zacharevic is best known for his contributions to the Penang street art scene and we do not have to travel up north to appreciate his work! Haji Lane is a well-known for being home to a row of quirky shophouses and unique street art. Weekends are particularly crowded as both tourists and locals alike flock to that single stretch of lane of some out-of-the-hole cafes and #ootd shots. Most of the street art was completed by Didier Jaba Mathieu, who is widely known by his moniker "Jaba". His street art along Haji Lane depicts the indigenous Aztec people dominant in Mexico before the Spanish conquest in the 16th century.
