Singapore is set to host a once-in-a-generation art event as IMBA presents Botero in Singapore at Gardens by the Bay, celebrating the legacy of legendary Colombian artist Fernando Botero. Jointly presented with the Fernando Botero Foundation, this landmark showcase brings together nearly 130 original works across immersive media, gallery exhibitions, and monumental outdoor sculptures — marking the largest and most ambitious Botero presentation ever staged worldwide, and the first and only stop in Southeast Asia.

Opening March 6, 2026, at IMBA Theatre, this 45-minute immersive journey blends animation, archival footage, and spatial storytelling to reveal Botero’s life, humour, rebellion, and humanity. Narrated by his eldest son, Fernando Botero Zea, it’s an intimate, emotional tribute that brings Botero’s iconic volumes vividly to life. - Heart of Volume: Major Gallery Exhibition
Launching February 13, 2026, this comprehensive exhibition features 118 paintings, drawings, and indoor sculptures from the Botero family collection, tracing over 70 years of artistic evolution. From watercolours to masterworks, it offers a rare, in-depth look at the discipline, colour and form behind Botero’s unmistakable “Boterismo” style. - Garden Grandeur: Monumental Outdoor Sculptures
From January 24, 2026, 10 monumental bronze sculptures take over IMBA Theatre and the Silver Garden at Gardens by the Bay, transforming the landscape into a playful yet powerful open-air gallery. Designed for interaction, photography, and pause, these larger-than-life works turn the Gardens into a living cultural commons.
