PLAYtime! – the engaging and interactive theatre series for young children, returns to Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay in 2026. Celebrate the joy of play and the power of imagination through this engaging series, bringing children and their grown-ups together through stories that inspire wonder and empathy.

This series is a perfect introduction to the world of theatre for young audiences, suitable for families with children aged 3 to 6 who enjoy interactive elements in a theatre production.

Audience members are encouraged to participate actively rather than sit and watch the performance. PLAYtime! Productions are also inclusive – welcoming children with diverse needs, including individuals with sensory sensitivities. Audience members can also freely enter and exit the theatre space.

Thoughtfully created with children in mind, each production reflects their perspectives, curiosities, and anxieties while inspiring creativity and encouraging meaningful conversations through the performing arts.
