PLAYtime! is perfect for families with children aged 3 to 6 who enjoy non-traditional and fresh theatre experiences with vibrant sets, regulated music, and dynamic actors. Audience members are encouraged to join in the fun rather than just sitting in the audience and watching. PLAYtime! shows are inclusive, welcoming everyone, including individuals with sensory sensitivities. Audience members can also freely enter and exit the theatre space.
Featuring easy-to-understand and child-centric shows exploring themes such as fear and friendship, PLAYtime! returns to Esplanade’s stage with three new shows for 2026: Burp, Together, and The Amazing Sarong. By closing the gap between the audience and the stage through interactive and engaging performances, PLAYtime! becomes an unforgettable experience for families looking for something different.
