Get ready, Singapore – National Day 2025 is going to be bigger, bolder, and more brilliant than ever. To mark Singapore’s 60th birthday, the National Day Parade (NDP) on August 9, 2025, will stretch its wings from the iconic Padang all the way to the sparkling Marina Bay. For the first time in NDP history, we’re getting a full-on two-zone extravaganza that blends heritage with spectacle, past with future, and intimacy with impact.
Themed Majulah Singapura, this year’s parade is designed to remind Singaporeans of how far we’ve come – and how far we’ll go together. The idea, says parade chairman Colonel Chong Shi Hao, is to inspire solidarity and shared hope, even in a time of global uncertainty. “All the more we felt Majulah Singapura is really appropriate for the times,” he shared at a media briefing.
Cue the goosebumps. This year’s theme song, Here We Are, is a rousing tribute to resilience, identity, and belonging. Performed by Kit Chan, Charlie Lim, and vocal powerhouse The Island Voices, the song is co-written by Lim and Chok Kerong, produced by Dr Sydney Tan, and directed into a visually stirring music video by He Shuming.
Set in a school hall—a space that resonates deeply with Singaporeans—the video brings together over 100 choir members, capturing milestones, struggles, and moments of reflection. According to Lim, the song was crafted to “capture the zeitgeist of where we are as a country” while sparking unity and celebration.
This year’s show isn’t just split between two iconic spaces—it’s synchronised for full sensory impact.
At the Padang:
Main parade and ceremony with over 27,000 spectators
Aerial tribute by the Republic of Singapore Air Force
Return of the mobile column with air, land, and sea displays
Mass performances across four show acts inspired by the National Anthem
Appearances by local icons including Dick Lee, Kit Chan, and Charlie Lim
Majulah Moment: a nationwide cue for Singaporeans to sing the Anthem and recite the pledge together
At Marina Bay:
Simultaneous live broadcast on giant LED screens
Performances on a brand-new floating stage
A Red Lions skydiving spectacle at the Padang mirrored by naval divers landing in the Bay
Skyline light projections, fireworks, water floats, and plenty of space for up to 200,000 more people—no ticket needed
Key Marina Bay sites lighting up include:
The Promontory @ Marina Bay
Bayfront Event Space
The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay
Marina Barrage
Singapore Sports Hub in Kallang
The National Day spirit continues across five neighbourhood locations on August 10. Expect full-on carnival energy, stage shows, fireworks, drone displays, and the return of the mobile column to the heartland for the first time since 2020.
These heartland parties are co-organised with the People’s Association, and they’re all about celebrating with your community. Venues and event schedules will be announced soon—watch this space.
Singaporeans and PRs can collect a free National Flag from mid-June via the NDP Shop on Shopee, with over 3,000 collection points available. Show your colours proudly from July to September.
Need an outfit to match the moment? Local labels Love, Bonito, The Elly Store, and global brand Uniqlo are dropping red-and-white collections so you can celebrate in style.
Celebrating SG60 means giving back. The #GiveAsOneSG campaign returns for its third edition with 60 Days of Giving from June 10 to August 10. Whether you volunteer, donate, or participate in outreach, you’ll be contributing to a national movement of kindness.
The NDP 2025 logo cleverly fuses the number “60” with the word “GO”, symbolising momentum and drive. Five shooting stars in the design stand for Singapore’s core values: democracy, peace, progress, justice, and equality.
To take it further, 25 Singaporeans from all walks of life are reimagining the logo to reflect their Singapore Dreams. Look out for these creative spins dropping soon across NDP’s digital platforms.
