Chuck the kids in the car and head about an hours drive from KL to discover a hidden gem serving up divine fresh produce straight from the fields to your table.
A Little Farm on the Hill, which is situated on a 16-acre piece of land, was founded about three years ago by singer/songwriter, film score composer and film-maker Pete Teo and his architect wife Lisa Ngan. Pete and Lisa organically grow over 90 varieties of vegetables, herbs and fruit and then serve up some of the most delicious, fresh and tasty cuisine you’ll find here in KL. The food, which is centred on the produce grown at the farm, is rustic yet sophisticated and draws on flavors from all over the world with menus that vary from season to season.
The kids will love exploring the extensive grounds complete with a beautiful lake and plenty of hills to climb up and tumble down.
Booking is a must as this is a very exclusive venue catering for small groups only. You can book either the Dining Room, which can seat 20 people max, or the open, airy Farmhouse, which can host bigger groups of up to 60 and can be decorated on request for birthday parties and weddings etc.
In addition to a dining experience, they also organise a number of gardening and cooking classes, plus host yoga retreats, food parties and theatre productions and small concerts at the farm. And if you’re looking for something different this Christmas, check out their Christmas Day lunch and their Boxing Day menu.
Prices for lunch and dinner in the Dining Room start from RM180 per guest, with a minimum spend of RM2000 per booking.
