Peanut Butter Toast Ice Cream In Hong Kong

Nostalgia is sweet, and Kowloon Dairy knows it with its new twist on a cha chaan teng classic with its unique ice cream cone flavor: Peanut Butter Toast!

Inspired by the 852 staple, Peanut Butter Toast (Sai Do Si, 西多士), also known as Hong Kong-style French toast, Kowloon Dairy is introducing a new cone flavor that encompasses all the nutty goodness of the original. For those who don’t know, Peanut Butter Toast is a classic French toast spread with peanut butter and drizzled with a little condensed milk. Common variations include strawberry jam or Nutella.

Just in time for summer, Kowloon Dairy is releasing this cool and creamy treat that has everything: from the smooth taste of peanut butter to the sweet yet creamy condensed milk, to the all-important crunch of a chopped peanut topping! This fun new flavor comes in single cones or family packs. The individual cones will be available for sale in 7-Eleven and Circle-K stores from July 22 onwards, while family packs will be available in Wellcome stores from August 7 onwards.

Established in 1940, Kowloon Dairy has been a part of Hong Kong for many years, with its iconic red-labeled glass milk bottles popping up in most convenience stores. Many a long-time Hong Konger will know and love the classic Mochi Ice that was released in 1989, and Kowloon Dairy is continuing that tradition of innovation with this new release.
