Waterfront promenades are one of our favorite spaces for leisure, especially those that offer something specifically for kids! One of them is the Wan Chai Pier promenade that opened in May 2021 between the Wan Chai Pier and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Besides plenty of space for jogging, strolling, and enjoying the view of Victoria Harbor, the promenade features various interactive installations and a unique interactive playground near Tamar Park. The playground is conceptualized around flexibility and innovation, guiding play through landscape design and colorful pipes and offering plenty of space for fun.
Cool off at the famous Tseung Kwan O outdoor swimming pool - it's cheap and kids love it! It is so much more than a pool (many say it is a water theme park). With eight pools, including a paddling pool for toddlers with tiny safe slides and a 50m pool with lanes, there’s fun for the whole family. There are at least five other slides of various lengths and speeds catering to children with different levels of confidence in the water. The central kids’ section is constantly spraying water in all directions and there are lots of giant water pistols and levers to keep children amused.
