About Vox Academy and its founder Matthew Tosca:
Founded in 2015, Vox Academy is an inclusive, global educational platform that nurtures the development of contemporary creatives, emphasizing abstract thinking, sensory awareness, confidence, communication, and collaboration. From their unique location in Mid-Levels Hong Kong, they lead individual and studio violin or piano sessions as well as junior conductor training. Throughout these sessions, children and budding professional musicians are taught and supported individually as well as with a group – monthly workshops take place where all Vox Academy members come together to practice performing, and improve physical mobility, and musicality and hone their confidence. There is 1 recital per term where parents and friends can come and watch students. All students have access to the VOX Academy portal which holds a breadth of additional resources.
Matthew Tosca is the founder and artistic director of Vox Vanguard, a global leader in collaborative art experiences. He is a highly trained conductor, violinist, and educator, having taught on three continents and performed with prestigious ensembles worldwide. Tosca’s talent as a conductor has taken him around the world, performing as a regular cover and guest conductor with esteemed ensembles such as The Royal Ballet, the London Classical Soloists, The London Mozart Players, The Mannes Orchestra, and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. From his debut at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall to a captivating performance at Skydome Stadium in Toronto, witnessed by over 60,000 people and broadcast internationally, his reach knows no bounds. With a passion for breaking down barriers between artists and audiences, Tosca has designed numerous shows for Vox Vanguard and is committed to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression.
