Urban farming is a fast-growing trend in cities! From improving the air that the kids breathe to giving families in the city an opportunity to immerse themselves in nature daily, the benefits of urban farming are numerous. This summer, join Rooftop Republic in an urban farming workshop built especially for kids.
The workshop will consist of a series of hands-on activities including planting seeds and potting. There will also be technical lessons on the seasonality of veggies, composting, and the making of natural pesticides and fertilizers. For a bit of fun with critters, the kids will find out which insects are good and bad for the farm and will hunt out the pests. By the end of the workshop, kids will be equipped with the knowledge to grow their own food!
All kids attending this workshop need to be accompanied by an adult. Tickets for this event are priced as follows:
* HK$300 for 1 kid and 1 adult
* HK$500 for 2 kids and 2 adults
