The Hong Kong Human Rights Arts Prize (HKHRAP) was created by the Justice Centre Hong Kong in 2013, and it has played a key and vital role in uncovering and inspire Hong Kong artists to express the state of human rights both in the city and beyond. This year the Justice Centre has curated a shortlist of 35 pieces of artwork for the Hong Kong Human Rights Arts Prize 2020.
Following an online opening ceremony showcasing each unique art piece, there will be an online auction of all the exhibited works as well. All proceeds from the online auction will go towards supporting the important non-profit work of Justice Centre Hong Kong. Another way that you can support the work of the Justice Centre is by making a donation here.
Human rights in Hong Kong has drawn large attention worldwide over the past year, and this event is a great way to highlight this. The opportunity to win this prize was open to all Hong Kong-based artists who submitted artwork around the theme of human rights. Take advantage of the online exhibition and have the family view the recent events in Hong Kong through each artist’s unique lens.
