Hot off the press! Get your cameras ready on March 22-31 renowned American artist KAWS is showcasing a 37-meter inflatable art installation at Victoria Harbour!
The installation has generated quite the buzz already since Hong Kong is KAWS third stop following its success in Seoul and Taipei, and according to sources the HK spot will be even bigger! This gigantic character, longer than the nearby Star Ferry is the artist’s signature character called Companion and is in connection with Hong Kong Arts Month. This somewhat morbid version of Mickey Mouse will be floating on our Hong Kong Harbour end of the month.
Aside from the 10-day exhibition, a series of limited-edition collectibles have also been created for KAWS:HOLIDAY in collaboration with AllRightsReserved, including a limited soft toys pack, bath toys, floating beds, a “Hong Kong Stop” T-Shirt, and a tote bag.
As one of the presenters, Asia Miles will launch a series of events at Tamar Park from March 22 – 24, including a yoga experience session and Instagram photography workshop, open exclusively to Asia Miles’ members, featuring an Instagram selfie tutorial and brunch session at FLOAT, No. 9 Central Pier.
So for anyone is missing the colossal duck from 2013, we got a newcomer coming in!
